Reflections of The 10K Event

I would like to thank the over 700 people who demonstrated their support for 10K Batay Yisroel by personally attending our 10K Batay Yisroel Event on Sunday evening May 19th. It was a massive gathering in Ateres Chynka with the hall buzzing with excitement. Truthfully, we had discussed among ourselves what size crowd would be considered a respectable showing in light of the competing activities taking place at the same time as ours such as the famous Hatzalah Auction and other such events. We said that if we would attract 300 to 350 people it would be respectable. B”H we were overjoyed as the crowds began coming in to practically fill up the whole hall. We ended up with a record breaking attendance of over 700 people! The speeches by Rabbi Moshe Tuvia Lieff and Rabbi Ephraim Eliyahu Shapiro were energetic and truly inspirational. My mechutan R’ Joel Kaplan added much to the evening with his heartfelt divrei Torahand introductory remarks. This was truly a momentous event to be remembered. For those of you who could not attend in person and were not among the over 1300 people who watched the event live on Torah Anytime, we are pleased to inform you that you can now watch the whole event on the 10KBatayYisroel.org webpage. We have received tremendously encouraging feedback since the event and it has given us a renewed sense of purpose to continue to give of ourselves even more to make 10K go from chayil el chayil. It would be exceedingly helpful if you reached out to all of your acquaintances and invited them to watch the event on our webpage.

Obviously, to orchestrate such a beautiful and inspiring event takes a substantial sum of money. We also need to start advertising in more papers to spread the concept to all of Klal Yisroel. We can grow tremendously if we just have the financial support that we need. As I mentioned at the event no one is taking a penny for their efforts working on behalf of 10K. All the funds that come in are used to promote our mission of bringing about more shidduchim in Klal Yisroel. We applied to the IRS and are now recognized as an official 501 c (3) tax deductible organization. We are asking all of our friends to please help us continue growing and accomplishing by donating generously on our webpage by credit card or by sending a check made out to 10K Batay Yisroel Inc. and mailing it to 1410 Avenue R Brooklyn, NY 11229.

Best wishes for a beautiful and inspirational Shavuos,

Shaya Levin
