fresh year. fresh start. fresh goals.
It has been a long 7 months since the Covid outbreak, and I like many others suffered the loss of loved ones. I am currently saying Kaddish for both my parents who were niftar right after Pesach 9 days apart. I want to extend my condolences to everyone else that is in a similar situation. May HKB’H grant us all a nechama and may we only know of simchas from now on.
We find ourselves now after the Yomim Noraim and Sukkos…
Mazel Tov 10k Batay yisroel!
How appropriate that we are celebrating the milestone of reaching 10,000 shidduch suggestions on the 10KBatayYisroel.org website coinciding with the week that we celebrate the shidduch of Yitzchok Avinu with Rivka Emainu. The main criteria that Eliezer was insistent upon in seeking the proper candidate to be the wife of Yitzchok was that
A special Rosh Hashana request from R' levin
Last year prior to Rosh Hashana I made a plea to all Rabbonim to please bring up the issue of shidduchim in their Yomim Naroim drashos. I asked them to please emphasize what a zchus it would be for people in every shul to look at both sides of their mechitzah and turn their attention to the singles who are waiting for us to help them…
Summer message & opportunity for tefillah
We just entered into the Chodesh of Tammuz and I am eagerly anticipating our summer trip to Eretz Yisroel after Tisha B’av. We will of course be spending a lot of time by mekomos Hakedoshim and visiting kevorim of holy Yiddin. If anyone would like me to be mispallel for shidduchim by Yisroel’s kever and by the other kevorim please fill out the form below…
reflections of The 10K Event:
I would like to thank the over 700 people who demonstrated their support for 10K Batay Yisroel by personally attending our 10K Batay Yisroel Event on Sunday evening May 19th. It was a massive gathering in Ateres Chynka with the hall buzzing with excitement…
The 10K Event:
It is with a tremendous feeling of hakoras hatov to HKB”H that we invite everyone to the inaugural 10K Batay Yisroel event which will take place Pesach Sheni May 19th at 6:30PM to be held at Ateres Chynka, 129 Elmwood Avenue in Brooklyn. It will be a unique evening of inspiration and chizzuk featuring two exceptional speakers.
A pesach message:
It is now 2 weeks before Pesach and we are rapidly approaching Yisroel and Elisheva’s first Yahrtzeit on Yud Tes Nisan the third day of Chal Hamoed. Needless to say, it has been a very painful and difficult year for all of us who miss both of them so very much. We were just at the hakomas matzeiva for Elisheva this past Sunday…
A message from r' Shaya levin before a visit to Yisroel's Kever:
We will IY”H be going to Eretz Yisroel for the Hakomas Matzeiva for Yisroel Z”L on Thursday January 24th. It is very meaningful to me that I will be able to share with Yisroel the amazing success story that is 10K Batay Yisroel. What started out at the levaya last Pesach as a plea to HKB”H to send down shidduchim to Klal Yisroel evolved into a movement that has captivated all those that have been exposed to the project.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU & CHANUKAH MESSAGE
As we approach Chanukah I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who is involved with the fantastic 10KBatayYisroel.org project. The front line soldiers who run the site on a daily basis are doing an unbelievable service to Klal Yisroel. It is a historical project that is changing the future of shidduchim…
10K stats & Shidduch Meetings
Wherever I go I receive tremendous feedback about how wonderful the 10 Batay Yisroel project is and how it is generating a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to redt shidduchim. We are constantly hearing stories of older singles who are B”H getting engaged and we can clearly see the Yad Hashem at work here. When the project first started 6 months ago the ratio of suggestions to first dates was approximately 5-6 %. This means that for every 100 suggestions that were made it resulted in 5 or 6 people going on first dates. Now…
The Year of the shidduch
As you know, I am very involved with the 10KBatayYisroel.org project. The goal of this website is to change the mindset of Klall Yisroel as it relates to making shidduchim. Until now the common attitude among Yidden has been that we leave the job of making shidduchim primarily to the Shadchonim.
The Year of the shidduch Publicity
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who is participating in the 10K Batay Yisroel.org project. We are beginning to change the mindset of Klall Yisroel as it pertains to making shidduchim. No longer are we going to rely solely on shadchonim to shoulder the responsibility – we are going to do our part by getting actively involved with thinking of shidduchim and suggesting them
