As we approach Chanukah I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who is involved with the fantastic 10KBatayYisroel.org project. The front line soldiers who run the site on a daily basis are doing an unbelievable service to Klal Yisroel. It is a historical project that is changing the future of shidduchim akin to Dor Yeshorim and other beneficial changes to aid Klal Yisroel like Hatzala. When those projects first started no one was able to for see the tremendous positive impact they would have but now looking back in retrospect we can truly appreciate what a service they provide to us. So too there will come a day when people will look back and say – what a tremendous impact 10K Batay Yisroel is having on Klal Yisroel. We are so fortunate that those founders exerted themselves to make this super special project. May HKB”H give them strength and siyatta d’shmaya to continue in their avodas hakodesh to benefit Klal Yisroel and may they very speedily be able enter their own names on the website as engaged. I would also like to thank all of the wonderful members of Klal Yisroel who have responded to our project and are constantly pushing themselves to think of shidduchim and to follow up by logging them in on the website.

In November alone we were zocheh to 8 engagements registered! The sforim bring down that there is a special sheffa of bracha that is released during Chanuka because Hashem was so happy that the Yiddin were moser nefesh for his avoda in those days. Hashem, to show his chiba gave the Yiddin a special present by making the nes nigla happen to the oil – shelo bderech hateva. As we say in Al Hanissim, Bayomim haheim bazman hazeh – so too are we zocheh to this special chiba from Hashem in these days at this time of year.

Let us all daven with special kavana during Chanuka that in zchus that we are all being moser nefesh to think of others who need shidduchim and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, may we all be zoche to experience unbelievable hatzlacha with our shidduch suggestions – shelo bderech hateva!

For all of those who visit our site but have not joined our email list, could I ask you a favor to please sign up?

Wishing all of you a very happy and lichtige Chanuka.
